Celerie Kemble, Interior Designer
Shake up your space with cosmopolitan flair.
With a childhood spent on construction sites, in antique stores, and in the unique spaces designed by
her mother, Celerie Kemble has design in her blood. Immersed in the style of Palm Beach, Celerie
continues to bring the laid back sophistication she found in her own childhood home and in the
designs of her mother, Mimi McMakin of Kemble Interiors, to her clients as she creates spaces
described by House Beautiful as "Personal, Comfortable, Colorful, Clever."
A resident of New York, Celerie has her finger on the pulse of cosmopolitan style.
"In my design practice I strive to combine my love for and proximity to New Yorks fashion world with
an approachable, but chic design aesthetic," Celerie said. She believes design is not a product of
trends or rules, but an expression of individuality, whim, and delight. Recognizing the needs and
desires of todays young, urban market, Celerie brings a fresh perspective to design, altering the
traditional view of contemporary style.
Celeries style has led to frequent features in fashion and style magazines, including
Vogue, W, Vanity Fair, InStyle Home, Elle Décor, House Beautiful, House & Garden, Harpers Bazaar and Lucky. Celeries approach
to design has placed her on House Beautifuls list of Top 100
Designers for the past four years, as well as a contributor
offering advice and insight into the evolving style of
contemporary design. Her line of furnishings, Celerie for
Laneventure, introduced her metropolitan style to the home
furnishings industry with unique designs that reflect a hip,
urban lifestyle.
