Steel and Iron:
Wash steel and iron furniture occasionally.
If you see rust, get to it quick with a wire brush and
touch-up paint to keep it from spreading. In winter,
either cover your furniture or bring it indoors.
|
|
Wood:
Left alone, wood weathers to a silver-gray. Stained or
painted wood furniture needs a couple of new coats of
stain or paint every year or two.
|
|
Fabric Slings:
Most stains can be cleaned with a solution of cold water and either a mild soap or detergent.
Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove soap and air dry. Solution dyed acrylic and PVC
coated polyester yarns do not promote mildew growth. However,
mildew may grow on dirt or foreign substances that are not removed from the fabric. To remove stubborn stains or
mildew, prepare a mild solution of one cup of bleach and two capfuls of mild soap per
gallon of water. Spray on entire area and allow to soak in.
If necessary, scrub vigorously with a sponge or clean rag.
Rinse thoroughly with clean water and air dry.
